"Mediating Lives and Stories: Mining / Making / Meaning" will feature diverse presentations on scholarly and creative digital projects, tools, and methods in various stages of development from faculty, librarians and students from English, Sociology, Professional Communication, Ryerson University Library and Archives, the Learning and Teaching Office, the Masters of Digital Media program, and the Centre for Digital Humanities. Additionally, the Symposium will feature be two keynote speakers: Professor Leslie Howsam (History), University of Windsor, a historian of periodical culture, and Shawn Micallef, associate editor of Spacing magazine, co-creator of [murmur] Toronto, and author of Stroll: Psychogeographic Walking Tours of Toronto (Coach House Press, 2010).
