On relevant skills you learned through the Creative Industries program:
Time management skills and learning how to work in groups has helped a lot! Everything we do at Sony is group work. We're not just dealing with the publicity sector. We interact with sales, we interact with marketing, we interact with distribution. So everyone's kind of got to be on the same page, because all our roles intersect with each other. It's really important to understand what other people are doing, so that if you need help in your task or in your campaign, you know who to go to for those things. You know who you can rely on. You get to learn people's working capabilities and build your own network of people that you know you can rely on.
I think that's really important, especially in creative work. Almost everything in creative work is done in groups, at least in some capacity in groups, even if it's independent! So I think group work was probably the number one skill I took away from that program.
