Some of the organizations that will support CERC Migration in the development of this research project include:

National Farmers Union (NFU Ontario) (external link)

The NFU-O is made up of thousands of family farmers and eaters across Ontario working together to advocate for sustainable family farms, run workshops and trainings for members. The Union creates policy changes at all levels of Government.  It is the only accredited farm organization which is committed to ensuring family farms are the primary unit of food production; promoting environmentally-safe farming practices and giving farm women equal voice in shaping farm policy.

United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW Canada) (external link)

UFCW, one of Canada’s most diverse unions, represent and help to organize workers in every aspect of the food chain, as well as healthcare, security, non-food manufacturing, office and professional, and other key sectors of the economy. It is one of Canada's most experienced and respected unions, with a union history that goes back to the 1800s. Members of UCFW vote for their Local Union leaders, the bylaws that govern their Local Unions, and their collective agreements.

Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) (external link)

LAW was founded in 1974 as a clinical learning project of the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Its goal is to provide an environment in which students can experience issues relating to access to justice in the context of a “storefront clinic” in downtown Windsor by examining the law and the legal profession in context, while helping to provide legal services to those who are unable to pay a private lawyer and obtain a legal aid certificate.

Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) (external link)

The Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. protects workers and their communities from occupational disease, injuries and illnesses. They support workers’ capacity to address occupational hazards, and to promote the social, mental and physical well-being of their families. OHCOW strives to accomplish this through the identification of workplace factors which are detrimental to the health and well-being of workers; by empowering workplace parties to make positive occupational health changes in their workplace; and by providing information, knowledge and organizational skills to the workplace parties.

The Fair Farm Work project is funded by the Mariam Assefa Fund (external link) , which is the philanthropic arm of World Education Services (external link) . The Fund seeks to catalyze economic inclusion, opportunities, and mobility in support of immigrants and refugees in the U.S. and Canada. The Fund supports efforts to bring about inclusive economies and to ensure that all immigrants and refugees can achieve their goals and thrive. The Fund has distributed more than US$14.7 million in the U.S. and Canada since launching in 2019, and has partnered with more than 90 organizations across both countries.
