About

Assessments such as tests, essays, case studies, and projects are central to meaningful learning and teaching. It is often difficult, however, to design an assessment that presents meaningful learning opportunities, measures students' achievements, and works within the logistical constrains of a course. On top of these factors, GenAI now presents new challenges and new ways of doing assignments.

If you have an assignment you want to redesign (or design for the first time), bring it to this in-person, hands-on workshop with CELT. Together, we'll cover key principles of assessment design, then dive into working time with support from CELT staff. Our goal is for you to leave with a workable draft of an assessment

Facilitators

David Arromba, Learning Design Specialist, CELT

Mathilda Dougherty, Educational Developer, CELT

Jason Matthew, Educational Developer, CELT

Lauren Spring, Educational Developer, CELT
