This workshop is hosted by Bridging Divides and open to all BD researchers, affiliated researchers, HQPs, partners and staff. The training is led by Toby Malone, TMU Research Impact Librarian.

Note: As ORCID profiles are now connected to the Bridging Divides Forum, researchers and Postdoctoral Fellows across the program are particularly encouraged to join the workshop.

Knowledge Mobilisation (KMb) should be a priority for every researcher: how your work is discovered, read and cited makes a major difference in the overall impact your research. Being able to showcase academic work in a centralized location is crucial to the visibility of an academic profile. In academic research, ORCID is becoming the industry standard. It allows researchers to list their affiliations, publications and grants. Many funding agencies are starting to require ORCID iDs be included in grant applications.

In this workshop, a TMU Research Impact Librarian will guide you through the importance of a well-organised ORCID profile, present the TMU ORCID Affiliation Manager tool and other useful resources that will ensure your work is easy to find and well indexed.

The workshop will be held online via Zoom on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
