You may soon notice some official Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) emails coming from a new cloudmail.torontomu.ca email domain. This new domain has been created to allow the university to verify the authenticity of emails sent on behalf of TMU via third-party email applications before they reach your inbox.

If you receive an email from @cloudmail.torontomu.ca, it is likely to have been sent on behalf of TMU via a third-party email system. Despite this, like all email, we encourage you to use caution and keep in mind tips for spotting phishing emails.

Email messages sent from TMU will always come from addresses ending in torontomu.ca or .torontomu.ca

As email-based frauds persist and grow increasingly sophisticated, the creation of the cloudmail.torontomu.ca email domain provides an additional way for the TMU community to check the origin of emails.
