Event Description

This engaging panel discussion brings together HR professionals specializing in talent acquisition to share their expert insights on what makes applicants stand out—and where they often go wrong. Gain valuable DOs and DON’Ts straight from those making hiring decisions. 

The session will be followed by an in-person networking reception, giving you the chance to connect with recruiters and fellow job seekers.

Building a career that is focused on people, Andrea believes that businesses should understand their employee journey at least as well as they know the client journey and product roadmap. Andrea brings over a decade Human Resources experience in both public and private organizations, in industries including financial services, biopharmaceutical R&D, and technology. Hyper-focused in the scale-up stage (from seed stage to Series B), she's focused her career working alongside Founding and Executive team members with extensive experience in People & Talent, specializing in the areas of talent management & recruiting strategy, performance & people operations, total rewards, organizational design & scaling, retention & talent development, and leadership training & coaching.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Human Resources, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Toronto Metropolitan University, and is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) through the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).

Sarah Campitelli

Sarah Campitelli is an HR Professional with over 10 years of experience. Since 2017, Sarah has been working at McCain Foods Limited — a global food manufacturer of prepared potato products and appetizers. In her current role as HR Director, Global HR, Sarah partners with leaders in Global Operations & Growth on their people strategies and focuses on driving the McCain “Winning Culture”. For Sarah, being a credible activist to her leaders is a daily goal – it’s about building relationships, understanding the business then being able to provide recommendations and insights to drive decisions.

Sarah attended Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and graduated in 2014 where she received a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Human Resources with a minor in Communications. While at TMU, Sarah played an active role on campus leading the HR Student’s Association (HRSA) as President. Following the end of her University experience, Sarah pursued and received her CHRP designation (Certified Human Resources Professional). Outside of work, Sarah continues to participate on campus by participating in HRSA Alumni events, she has hosted a development planning workshop for students and was highlighted in a new series called “Mentorship Minutes”. Most recently, Sarah was awarded the “Top 10 of the Last 10” Alumni Achievement Award from Ted Rogers School of Management at their 2024 event.

Natasha Sleem

Natasha Sleem-Gardiner is an experienced talent acquisition professional currently serving as a Manager, Talent Acquisition at Accenture since December 2024. Prior to this role, Natasha held various positions at Comtech Group from October 2017 to December 2024, including Manager of Talent Acquisition, where responsibilities encompassed managing the talent acquisition lifecycle and developing sourcing strategies. Natasha’s earlier experience includes roles as a Human Resources Generalist at Fleet Complete and as a Senior Technical Recruiter at Robert Half Technology. Natasha’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management and additional certifications in leadership and Microsoft Excel from notable institutions.

Brian Martins

Manager, Corporate Talent Acquisition, Four Seasons

Brian Martins is a Ted Rogers School of Management (TMU) alumnus who graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and minor in Human Resources. Brian started his career in Talent Acquisition as a Recruitment Coordinator Intern at Rogers Communications, and later joined on a permanent basis as part of the Rogers HR New Graduate Leadership Development Program. With a passion for matching top talent with exciting new opportunities, Brian grew his career in Talent Acquisition and now manages the Corporate Talent Acquisition function at the Four Seasons Head Office. Here, Brian leads full cycle corporate recruitment for a wide variety of global roles in Marketing, Finance, Design Services, HR, and legal. He focuses on building Hiring Manager capabilities through hands-on training, and is seen as a trusted Talent Acquisition advisor to the Four Seasons luxury hospitality brand.

Provi Ali

Manager, Talent Acquisition, BMO Financial Group

Provi Ali is a seasoned talent acquisition professional with over seven years of experience including the past three years working at BMO.  In her current role as Manager, Talent Acquisition Sourcing Partnerships at BMO, she leads the strategy and execution of external partnerships to attract, engage, and hire top talent across key segments. She also plays a key role in advancing talent acquisition programs and supporting recruitment delivery across the organization.

Provi’s career spans a variety of portfolios where she supported as a Senior Recruiter — including Contact Centres, Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Global Asset Management, and Wealth Management giving her a well-rounded perspective on strategic hiring, relationship management, and building high-impact talent pipelines.

Kevin Li

Director, Client Services, Vaco

Kevin is a 2014 graduate from the Ted Rogers School of Management where he majored in Accounting. After graduating, he joined PwC LLP’s Audit & Assurance practice where he went on to complete his CPA. Kevin is now a Director of Client Services with Vaco — a global professional services firm in talent solutions specializing in Finance, Accounting & IT. Kevin leads a Finance-focussed recruitment team and partners directly with his clients in various industries to meet their hiring objectives, placing. He is passionate about working with people and building strong relationships to help companies hire and attract top talent.
