Teriano Lesancha
Social Work ’12
Teriano Lesancha was the first Maasai woman from her village, Lodaariak, in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, to earn a university degree. She then started a charitable foundation, SupaMaasai, to empower girls and women through education and entrepreneurship. She is a speaker for World Vision Canada, and recently addressed 20,000 youths at We Day in Toronto. Currently working on her graduate degree, she is also the international program co-ordinator at Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management.
