John Lahey

As President and Chief Executive Officer of FirstOntario Credit Union Limited, John Lahey leads the fourth-largest credit union in Ontario with more than 63,000 members and a network of 17 retail and two commercial banking centres. Applying his education, experience and considerable skills, he has led his company's transformation to a modern, profitable, community-based financial institution. Mr. Lahey is a leader in the governance of credit unions in Ontario through his many roles with Credit Union Central of Ontario, Deposit Insurance Corp. of Ontario, and the CUMIS Group of Insurance Companies. He generously gives time to the community, including a senior role in health and hearing fundraising.
