Dr. Janet Rosenberg
Landscape Architecture ’76
Janet Rosenberg is one of the first Canadian women to enter the field of landscape architecture. Her award-winning firm has been involved in promoting countless innovative and sustainable projects throughout North America. Ms. Rosenberg enjoys volunteering her skills by sitting on juries; she is a speaker in great demand and a favourite visiting lecturer and instructor at universities. As a member of the Toronto Mayor's Roundtable on a Beautiful City, she has been instrumental in encouraging new standards of excellence. She is a founding member of the Toronto Tree Foundation. Ms. Rosenberg has been honoured with several awards, including the 1992 Governor General's Confederation Medal and the Pinnacle Award for Landscape Architectural Excellence from her peers. Her firm has won over 80 prestigious competitions and awards.
