Anna Amy Ho

Social Work ’15
Crisis Counsellor & Program Coordinator Victim Services Toronto

Anna Amy Ho’s childhood was overshadowed by violence, abuse and loss forcing her to move out by the age of 16. Despite this, her resiliency has led her to help others in traumatic situations. She is a Crisis Counsellor and violence prevention Program Coordinator at Victim Services Toronto. Anna continues to be a child welfare advocate, ambassador and volunteer in the community including as an Executive Board Member for Radio Ryerson Inc. She has been invited to speak to the United Nations Rapporteur on the Rights of the Child and at various government, corporate, non-profit and educational settings including the Ontario and New Brunswick Legislature, CIBC, and University of Moncton. In 2015, Anna received the Attorney General's Victim Services Award of Distinction. Anna also performs as an aerial acrobat and hopes to establish a center for arts-based forms of psychotherapy.

If victims are deprived of the right to live free from violence, abuse, torture and if we have the power to do something about it, then we have that responsibility.
