TORONTO – July 21, 2021 – The Legal Innovation Zone (LIZ) at Toronto Metropolitan University is launching its second cohort of Sprint Studio this fall. The free, interactive online program will run for 12-weeks starting on September 28, 2021, and will help entrepreneurs all over the world develop their customer base and turn their proof-of-concept into a market-ready product.

“Our first cohort of Sprint Studio helped develop and advance 18 startups across seven countries through mentorship, potential client engagement and product development,” says Chris Bentley, Managing Director of the LIZ. “We are excited to bring back the program again this year and continue to support legal tech entrepreneurs in driving their products forward.”

Sprint Studio is designed to help early-stage legal tech startups develop their minimum viable product (MVP), create a strong feedback loop with potential users, and build up their customer base. Participants will engage with online content developed by industry experts, and work closely with LIZ mentors to progress through the program’s milestones.

“The LIZ’s main goal is to drive legal innovation around the world, and make legal services more accessible for consumers,” says Hersh Perlis, Director of the LIZ. “Sprint Studio will help bridge the gap in the global legal market by supporting entrepreneurs who are building and offering legal tech solutions that address the current challenges faced by the industry and consumers alike.”

The second cohort of Sprint Studio starts on September 28th, 2021. Applications to join the program are now open and will close on Friday, September 10th, 2021. More information is available on the LIZ website
