Extended Summer Stay

Extended Summer Stay is unavaialble for Summer 2023. 

TMU Housing & Residence Life welcomes guests who require monthly and affordable summer accommodations in the heart of downtown Toronto. A limited number of monthly stay guestrooms are available, subject to terms and conditions. Extended Summer Stays are available in the International Living/Learning Centre (ILC).

  • Minimum 30 consecutive nights stay required

  • Weekly housekeeping services included

  • Bed linens and towels provided in each bedroom

  • Guests are required to provide their own toiletries and amenities

  • Full payment required upon check-in

  • Accommodations resulting in less than 30 consecutive nights will be charged at the then-current daily rate for the number of nights actually spent at the Residence, subject to applicable taxes

The International Living/Learning Centre Residence (ILC)

  • Available between May to August (2024 dates are pending)

  1. Submit an application request by completing the  (google form) Extended Summer Stay Application Form (external link) 
  2. Wait for an email confirmation from Housing & Residence Life (extended summer stay spaces are offered on a first come, first serve basis).
  3. When confirmed, guests will receive a reservation number and will be directed to a payment link for the payment of the $400 non-refundable application fee. Guests are given one week to complete the payment process.
  4. Once the $400 non-refundable application fee is received, guest will receive an offer of accommodation. 

There is a $400 non-refundable application fee required.

This $400 non-refundable application fee will be used towards the room rent. The remainder of the room rent is due at arrival.

Cash payments are not accepted. We ONLY accept debit cards and major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, and American Express) for methods of payment at the front desk.  Please note that third party credit cards are only accepted in person if the cardholder is onsite. 

A deposit is required upon approval of your stay on our payment portal and credit cards is the only acceptable payment method. The remainder of your room rent is due at check in. 

Cost to stay at ILC per night for single occupancy is $59 and double occupancy is $69, tax exempt.

This rate qualifies to guests who stay for more than 30 nights only.

  • If the cancellation occurs greater than 91 days prior to scheduled arrival, Toronto Met will refund 100% of the $400 advance payment;

  • If the cancellation occurs 61-90 days prior to scheduled arrival, Toronto Met will refund 50% of the $400 advance payment;

  • If the cancellation occurs 31-60 days prior to scheduled arrival, Toronto Met will refund 25% of the $400 advance payment; and

  • If the Resident cancels 0-30 days prior to scheduled arrival, the Resident forfeits the entire advance payment and Toronto Met will not refund any portion of the $400 advance payment.
