Equity groups and learning opportunities

Equity, diversity and inclusion are an important component of TMU’s identity and values. Different community networks, committees and learning events run throughout the year and are a great way to connect with like-minded individuals in other areas of the university.

Large audience at TMU Awards Night

Whether to honour award recipients or to commemorate a special occasion, TMU celebrations are a fun way to get to know people from across the university. Attend Recognition events throughout the year to celebrate award recipients and service milestones.

At TMU, we’re committed to advancing sustainability on campus and within our community. Together, we work towards a campus where our commitment to sustainability is evident in the way we develop, operate, and maintain our campus, and work towards fully integrating sustainability in our institutional and administrative functions. Community involvement is a key component of this, and we encourage you to review the university’s Sustainability website to learn more about the Sustainability Office and find ways that you can contribute to Sustainability at TMU.

Volunteer opportunities

There are lots of volunteer opportunities on campus where you can work with different people across the university while giving back to the community. For example, get an up-close view of our ceremonies and celebrate our students by volunteering for convocation. It’s a great way to connect to the core reason why we’re all here!
