Jell-oh?!

What memories can a gelatinous dessert hold?

Project Description

"Jell-OH?!" is a digitally fabricated, mixed-media sculpture crafted by the Design + Technology Lab team for the DesignTO 2025 exhibition, “To Hold”.

This playful piece invites viewers to reflect on fabrication, materiality, and memories of Jell-o.

The sculpture is a parametrically modelled and 3D-printed form crafted from PET-G to emulate the iconic gelatin dessert. Suspended within are playful 3D fruits printed from PLA. It is served on a lacquered CNC-milled wooden plate and topped with an SLA resin-printed maraschino cherry. This delectable display is complemented by a UV-printed poster and a collection of product packages. These hint at the making of the piece by providing the “recipe” and a behind-the-scenes look at its creation.
