Jorge Forero

Jorge Enrique Forero is a sociologist from the National University of Colombia, with a Master’s degree in Political Science from FLACSO Ecuador and a PhD in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Kassel, Germany. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Andean University Simón Bolívar, where he currently works as a faculty member. His research interests include the governance of climate-induced migration and the political ecology of extractivism. He currently coordinates the research project Climate Crisis and Mobilities in the Andean Region at FLACSO-Ecuador.
