Virtual Bridge Workshop 3 - A framework for employer engagement

VB-imagery

Date: Sept. 13, 2023

Time: 1-2:30 PM EDT

Location: Online via Zoom

Join us for a workshop that will bring together leaders in the settlement sector who have experience working with employers to recruit newcomers and facilitate their integration into the Canadian labour market.

The workshop aims to provide Service Providing Organizations (SPOs) of the immigrant settlement sector with a disciplined approach to engaging employers that will enable them to build solid relationships and effectively work with immigrants as their direct clients. The workshop will focus on the five steps to engagement: connect, discover, recommend, act and service. SPOs will learn that by following this approach they can more effectively engage with employers, foster collaboration and optimize workforce opportunities for immigrants.

The workshop will be chaired by CERC Migration, Toronto Metropolitan University, and is co-convened by CERC Migration and the Immigrant Employment Council of B.C. (external link)  (IEC-BC).
