In light of welcoming all students and entrepreneurs this school year, we thought we would interview a couple of our FZ All Star Students on their experience as a student business owner, along with an interview with a start-up member who is looking for student associates. Victoria Aristocrat is the Co-Founder of VIKA swimwear (external link, opens in new window) .  VIKA swimwear is designed to be bold, to be different and to be remembered, Vika Swimwear’s essential purpose is to create unique pieces and matching sets for him and her that are curated to make any person or couple stand out from the crowd. 

Holly IG Live

Holly Beingessner is the founder of Holly Beingessner Designs (opens in new window) . Before starting her own business, Holly had a diverse background from working in the food industry, as a Co-op student at an Engineering firm, a paint specialist, and as an Interior Design Intern.

Holly is a recent graduate of X University, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business Essentials. During her four years at Ryerson, her passion grew to sustainable design, to create innovative solutions that help design a world with a future. At the end of August 2021, Holly completed and won the award for the top pitch of the eight-week incubator program called the, “Ryerson Innovation Student Experience" (RISE).

Christal IG Live

Christal Earle has been a lifelong social entrepreneur. As the co-founder of Live Different, an international youth humanitarian charity, she was first introduced to landfill workers in vulnerable parts of the world. What started out as a passion for social equality has grown into a love for people and the planet. In 2017 she launched Brave Soles (external link)  with $250, working with local artisans in the Dominican Republic. Brave Soles creates handcrafted shoes with upcycled tire soles and upcycled accessories, and is focused on providing opportunities for their customers and fans to love the story behind what they own.
