The Design Fabrication Zone offers a number of awards, grants and experiences for students that help build technical skills, develop their creative and entrepreneurial vision, learn on the job by working with teams and gain work experience with real stakes and impact.

Get paid to research, prototype, and collaborate with peers in DFZ’s 7-week Digi-Fab Toolkit Program. Apply by Oct 10 to this hands-on R&D cohort for upper-year students.
TMU students can apply to be a community ambassador at our weekly Open Shop nights. This volunteer position can count towards internship and professional practice hours.
Every year we partner up with the Design Technology LAB to offer up to 5 grants of $1000 to students of The Creative School working on projects that advance the use of technology within creative sectors.
