Welcome!

A thriving university starts with the wellbeing of its people. At TMU, we know that when our students, faculty, and staff feel supported in mind, body and community, we are building a  foundation for academic excellence, innovation and meaningful connection.

Wellbeing Central brings together these supports and more in one accessible place, reflecting our commitment to an inclusive approach to health and wellness that honours the diverse lived experiences across our university. By integrating these supports, we are directly reinforcing the goals of our Academic Plan: Transforming Futures. Through this work TMU is promoting a culture of belonging to ensure every member of our university community is equipped to grow in an environment that is intentionally shaped to support their holistic success.

Grounded in TMU’s commitment to support people and community, and promote health, wellbeing and safety, this resource reflects the collective efforts of many teams and partners. Together, we are working to strengthen our culture of care across the university.

I invite you to explore the site, share it widely, and help us build a community where everyone can learn, work and flourish.

At TMU, we know that wellbeing isn’t separate from learning; it’s essential to success. We also know that understanding a new environment can be overwhelming. Between your studies, your friends and everything in between, it’s not always easy to figure out how to take full advantage of university life.

That’s why Wellbeing Central exists: to help make navigating this environment simpler and to connect you with support when you need it.

Every student has a diverse perspective, a unique identity and different priorities, and we’re committed to supporting your individual TMU experience holistically. Whether you’re looking to stay well, find balance, build community or get through a difficult time, these services are here for you at every stage of your university journey.

With a range of programming and services available to you in one place, we hope to make it easier for you to find timely, relevant support that meets you where you are. When you feel supported, included and able to access the resources you need, you’ll be better positioned to thrive in all areas of your life.

Whether you’re feeling great and want to stay that way or are facing challenges and could use a little guidance, please don’t wait too long to reach out. You’ll never have to go at it alone while you’re here and we look forward to being in your corner every step of the way.

With that, I encourage you to explore this site. Please come back to it whenever you need to and remember it as your needs change. A world of opportunity awaits you inside and outside of the classroom – let us help you make the most of it.
