Welcome!

A thriving university starts with the wellbeing of its people. At TMU, we know that when our students, faculty, and staff feel supported in mind, body and community, we are building a  foundation for academic excellence, innovation and meaningful connection.

Wellbeing Central brings together these supports and more in one accessible place, reflecting our commitment to an inclusive approach to health and wellness that honours the diverse lived experiences across our university. By integrating these supports, we are directly reinforcing the goals of our Academic Plan: Transforming Futures. Through this work TMU is promoting a culture of belonging to ensure every member of our university community is equipped to grow in an environment that is intentionally shaped to support their holistic success.

Grounded in TMU’s commitment to support people and community, and promote health, wellbeing and safety, this resource reflects the collective efforts of many teams and partners. Together, we are working to strengthen our culture of care across the university.

I invite you to explore the site, share it widely, and help us build a community where everyone can learn, work and flourish.

At TMU, we know that wellbeing isn’t separate from learning, it’s essential to it.

Students come to our university with diverse perspectives, identities and priorities, and supporting that full range of experiences is at the heart of our commitment to your academic and personal success.

You’re better positioned to thrive when we make deliberate efforts to help you overcome systemic barriers, to foster belonging and accessibility, and to support you as whole people who are stewards of your own bright futures. With your needs top of mind, Wellbeing Central was created as a place to find supports that meet you at every stage of your TMU journey.

By bringing these resources together in one space, we aim to make it easier for you to access timely, relevant and thoughtful programming that can make a world of difference in navigating our many student-focused offerings and in building community. This reflects the priorities outlined in our strategic plan,  (PDF file) We’re All Yours: A shared Commitment to Student Success, which lays the foundation for your flourishing in the classroom and beyond.

Remember: you don’t have to figure out university life on your own. Nothing matters more to us than your wellbeing, which is why we strive to build a campus where you feel seen and are empowered to be the best version of yourself.

With that, I encourage you to explore this site, to return to it as your needs change, and to reach out whenever you could use a hand. We look forward to helping you soar.
