Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI)

The Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI) works to maintain a visible presence of equity, diversity and inclusion and Indigenous values by offering guidance and support to the TMU community through teaching, learning, research, and service and administrative functions at the university.

We work to empower all members of the university to create a human rights centred campus, reduce barriers to access and inclusion for students, faculty and staff and bolster an equitable and inclusive community-focused decolonized university where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Supports and Resources

Community Networks and Committees

OVPECI supports the community networks and committees at TMU. They are comprised of students, faculty and staff that provide representation of diverse cultures, perspectives and experiences on campus and promote inclusion by offering support, networking opportunities and a platform for underrepresented voices.

Spiritual Counselling

Spiritual Counselling services are designed to provide spiritual care, guidance and support for anyone facing personal or academic challenges.

Inclusive Signage and All Gender Washrooms

Inclusive washroom signage and all gender washrooms at TMU are an important part of making our campus safe, accessible and welcoming.
