Centre for Communicating Knowledge Appoints New Program Coordinator

Taylor MacLean
Starting January 18, 2019, Taylor MacLean joins the School of Professional Communication as the new Project Coordinator in the Centre for Communicating Knowledge (CCK).
Taylor is a multi-disciplinary designer and communications strategist. She completed her BA at the University of Toronto, specializing in Indigenous Studies, and she attributes her time at University of Toronto as the spark that ignited her passion for communication. Taylor is also a graduate of the Master of Professional Communication (MPC) program, where her research focused on the ways in which the narrative structure of legal texts can undermine Indigenous sovereignty. After graduating from Ryerson, she started FlyLeaf, a creative studio that works primarily with non-profit and public sector organizations to help their brands stand out through highly creative content meant to surprise and inspire. Taylor is thrilled to be joining the CCK and grateful for the opportunity to help the Ryerson community tell powerful research stories.
Launched in April 2015, the CCK provides support and guidance to researchers interested in mobilizing knowledge. Since inception, the CCK has helped researchers across and beyond Ryerson engage with audiences outside of academia. CCK specializes in graphic and infographic design, website development, social, digital, and multi-modal media, and print products as part of knowledge mobilization strategies.
