Amee Sandhu

Amee became a business lawyer in Ontario in 2000. She became an entrepreneur in 2019, when she created a new law firm, Lex Integra Professional Corporation.   Her practice is uniquely focused on commercial negotiations, in-house counsel work, and ethics and compliance programs.

Previously, she was a senior member of the inaugural ethics and compliance team at SNC-Lavalin, which was responsible for creating and implementing a world-wide ethics and compliance program.  She also spent several years as both in-house counsel and commercial manager at Atomic Energy of Canada, a Crown corporation. Prior to that, Amee was in private practice at Bay Street law firm Minden Gross LLP,  where she did corporate/ commercial work.

Her career highlights include:

  • being the lead lawyer for a multi-billion dollar nuclear project in Ontario
  • speaking at ethics and compliance events in North America, Asia, and South America, and guest lecturing at universities and colleges on corporate ethics
  • working closely with staff and management of all levels

Amee has taught business law to business students at Toronto Metropolitan University and Algoma University.  

Amee is an active volunteer.  She won a mentoring award from the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association for her years of mentoring lawyers.  She is currently a mentor with the ICUBE UTM, at the University of Toronto.    Amee is a board member of Family Day Care Services, and a member of the Legal Committee of Transparency International - Canada.
