Camille Mitchell
Camille Mitchell, OAA, FRAIC
Camille is a Toronto-based architect, educator, and design leader. She is a Sessional Lecturer in Interior Design at Toronto Metropolitan University, where her teaching emphasizes materials, sustainability, and cultural narratives in design.
Her professional experience includes roles at KPMB Architects, Gensler, and SvN Architects + Planners, where she contributed to projects across architecture, interiors, and urban planning. Camille is also a founding member of both the Black Architects and Interior Designers Association (BAIDA) and Building Equality in Architecture Toronto (BEAT), organizations dedicated to advancing equity, mentorship, and representation within the design professions.
Her leadership and contributions have been recognized with numerous honours, including the ULI Toronto's Women’s Leadership Initiative Championship Team (2018), the Ontario Association of Architects’ G. Randy Roberts Service Award (2022), the University of Waterloo Alumni Achievement Medal for Community Service (2022), the Harry Jerome Arts Award (2024), and Fellowship in the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (2025).
