In recognition of National AccessAbility Week (May 31 - June 6, 2026), we are proud to share, participate in, and invite you to the webinar that champions accessibility, inclusivity and disability health in medical education and practice.
Disability advocate and entrepreneur in adaptive fashion Marlon Moore Jr. will share reflections from his experience living with spina bifida and his broader work in disability advocacy. He is the founder of The Con$cious Kid Brand, a clothing brand focused on changing the narrative of disability, and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Secondary Special Education and Transition at the University of Kansas.
In this session, he explores the idea that patients with disabilities carry a form of expertise that cannot be taught, inviting participants to consider how healthcare providers can better recognize and integrate the knowledge patients already hold about their own lives to support more collaborative and responsive care.
Presenter: Marlon Moore Jr. | Disability Advocate, Speaker, and Founder of The Con$cious Kid Brand (TCKBRAND) and Driven by Ability
Moderator: Dr. Pamela Liao | Interim Associate Dean Accessibility and Disability Health, TMU SoM
