Registered Social Worker and Youth Mental Health Counsellor, Associated Youth Services of Peel

Kaito (they/them or he/him) is a queer, trans, mixed-race person living on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, Anishinabek, Seneca, Chippewa, and the Mississaugas of the Credit Peoples. They are a Registered Social Worker currently working with Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP) as a youth mental health counsellor. Kaito primarily supports 2SLGBTQQIA+ children & youth and has been lucky enough to be a part of programs and initiatives aimed at uplifting queer & trans communities in Peel since 2020. They feel passionate about addressing social and systemic barriers that contribute to health inequities for equity-deserving communities, including those living at the intersections of oppression.

Kaito is excited and honoured to represent AYSP as a part of TMU’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Communities Committee.
