Amanda Naaum

Amanda Naaum is a certified product manager, scientist and entrepreneur who has navigated the move from academia to startup. Her PhD focused on molecular diagnostics for food authenticity and traceability and led to the spinout of two companies. She recently sold Precision Biomonitoring Inc., which she co-founded in 2016. She has over 10 years of product development experience in food authenticity and safety, environmental monitoring and biodiversity, and plant, animal and human health applications, including a Health Canada-approved test for COVID-19 and over a dozen products for endangered/invasive species detection. Amanda excels at the interface between science and business, bringing teams together to understand and address complex ideas, build impactful products and navigate change.
