Dr. Tatyana Terzopoulos is an accomplished screenwriter with close to 2 decades of experience that spans children's/youth, educational, and documentary/non-fiction media, and a portfolio that showcases her ability to craft compelling narratives in a variety of formats. She has contributed to popular fictional children’s series such as "How To Be Indie" (YTV), "Max & Ruby" (Treehouse TV, Nick Jr. UK), and "Captain Flamingo" (YTV) and educational/non-fiction children’s programs, including the award-winning series she co-created “SWAP-TV” (TVO Kids). She also has experience writing for documentary/non-fiction series for adult audiences, including a one-hour documentary film “What A Booty!” (W Network/ SBS Australia). She has also explored interactive and games-based narratives in academic and industry contexts.

With a PhD in Language, Culture, and Teaching and an MA in Communication and Culture, Dr.  Terzopoulos brings a unique blend of academic insight and industry experience to her media storytelling. She is particularly passionate about projects that apply a critical, intersectional, and/or feminist lens and that focus on socially relevant and inclusive media for, with, and by underrepresented communities, including young audiences.
