$1,000 donation to a charity of choice
In addition to our cash prizes, Zabeen Hirji will make a $1,000 donation to a charity of choice on behalf of each of the top three teams. This meaningful contribution not only recognizes the achievements of our finalists but also extends their impact beyond the competition by supporting causes that matter to them. As Zabeen says "leadership is not a title, it is our actions and behaviours". Case theme: Reimagining Women in Leadership
An original case is written for the competition every year. The cases have been focused on female decision-makers, and the topics were Open Banking in 2021, Central Bank Digital Currency in 2022, Women and Remote Work: Fearless or Fear in 2023, On Becoming Visible: The Takedown of Julie Stein in 2024. Cases were presented at academic conferences and were subsequently published in an open-access academic journal platform. They have been used with great success in the classroom at the Ted Rogers MBA program.
Each team will be composed of four MBA students (women and men who support women in leadership). The case challenge will be released to registered teams on a specified date and each team will have 20 minutes to present their solution plus a 10-minute Q&A with the judges. We'll be using graduate classrooms for the case presentations.
Specific presentation time slots and case competition rules will be sent to all registered students and their faculty coaches.
$599 CAD Team Registration
Includes one faculty member and four team members with full access to the conference portion on March 6 and case competition on March 7.
