Confirm your intentions to study at TMU in January 2024 by the deadline date stated in your offer letter. If you do not accept your Offer of Admission by the deadline date, your Offer will expire.
Accepting an offer from one program/university will not cancel pending applications to other programs and/or universities.
How to Accept Your Offer
As you applied using the TMU International Application, you must confirm your Offer of Admission via MyServiceHub.
To confirm, log in to my.torontomu.ca, and select the MyServiceHub tab. Your Offer of Admission will show in the Admissions section. Click on the Accept/Decline link for the offer you want to accept, and Accept Admission and Confirm Acceptance. See MyServiceHub Support: Admissions for detailed instructions.
Your $500 CAD (non-refundable*) tuition deposit is due by the date stipulated in your Offer of Admission.
*The tuition deposit is non-refundable except in the following cases:
- The university cancels/revokes an Offer of Admission
- An application for a Study Permit has been denied (proof required)
If you are currently outside of Canada: Pay using Convera for Students (formerly Western Union (WU) Business Solutions GlobalPay), PayMyTuition International or CIBC International StudentPay.
If you are currently inside Canada: Pay using a Canadian bank account by accessing your financial institution’s online bill payment option, or advise your bank representative that you would like to pay a bill.

It is your responsibility to meet any/all conditions stated in your Offer of Admission by the deadline stated in your offer letter. Conditions may include completing your high school or college diploma, achieving a required overall average, passing prerequisite courses with the required grades and/or submitting final official academic transcripts.
You are responsible for submitting your official academic transcripts, confirming final grades and graduation status, to Undergraduate Admissions. You should confirm in your ChooseTMU Applicant Portal that your final transcripts have been received, and follow up if they have not.
The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) document is required for the study permit application. This is found with your Offer of Admission, available in the "My Communications" section of your ChooseTMU Applicant Portal. We will not send the Letter of Acceptance for International Students by courier. You will need to print/ upload the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) document only for your study application process. You should start the study permit application process as soon as you receive an offer. Visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada (external link) for complete study permit application details.

Please note that you will be required to include TMU's Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number on your application. Our DLI number is O19395677651.
Once you have applied for your study permit, please submit the Study Permit Form through the “eForms Center” in MyServiceHub on my.torontomu.ca. Please make sure to return to this form and update the status of your study permit application when you receive a response or decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Apply for Transfer Credits
If you believe you are eligible for transfer credit(s), submit your transfer credit application as soon as you have accepted your Offer of Admission. Applying early facilitates course planning by allowing you to have your results ahead of course enrolment.

Apply for a Scholarship
The International Student Winter Merit Scholarship is awarded to international students who are entering their first year of a full-time, four-year undergraduate degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University in January 2024. Apply by November 1st.
Connect with Program Department and Faculty
Your program department and faculty will support you academically during your time at TMU. Your program contact will assist you with course selection, connect you with support services and host orientations, workshops and other activities to help you make the most of your time at TMU.
Look out for emails from your program department in late November.
Access Student Learning Support and Student Wellbeing
Student Learning Support is a group of services aimed to help you engage more effectively in your academic studies. These services, which can be accessed throughout your time at TMU, include English Language Support, Math Support, Study Skills, Transition, and Writing Support.
Academic Accommodation Support provides academic accommodations and related support to students with disabilities at Toronto Metropolitan University. In partnership with students and faculty, AAS implements individualized accommodation plans to reduce disability-related barriers for students. Begin your registration process as soon as you can, to ensure your accommodations are in place when you need them. For more information, visit the AAS registration page.
Enrol in Courses
In early December, during your enrolment period, you must enrol in your winter term courses
In late November, your program department will send you additional information, and your specific course enrolment start date will be confirmed on MyServiceHub. See the Course Enrolment page on the Current Students site for additional enrolment information.
Housing and Residence
As a full-time undergraduate incoming student, you are welcome to apply if you are interested in on-campus residence for January 2024. Applications will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list in the order we receive them. At this time, we recommend considering off-campus options as an alternative to helping you find housing in Toronto.

Connect with Campus Services
There are a number of services available to help you succeed at TMU! You can learn more about what’s available to you on the Student Affairs website. Here are a few examples of just some of the services:
- International Student Support helps International TMU students prepare for arrival, build a community, work on campus and advise on immigration.
- TMU Athletics (external link) is home to the TMU Bold! Why not try out for a varsity team, or support your fellow students by attending games? You can also take advantage of our state-of-the-art athletic facilities by using the fitness centre or by joining intramural teams or sports clubs.
Orientation
Orientation Week is the official kick-off to your four years here at TMU! This is your chance to meet your first TMU friends, join awesome events and explore the campus.

Apply for Scholarships
There are many scholarships and awards available to TMU students. Awards may be available for new students, or they may be offered by specific programs, faculties or for special categories. Some are available to all students. Find out which awards you may be eligible for, and apply to them on AwardSpring, TMU’s award management system.
Work on Campus
A number of jobs are available on campus through the International Career Boost program. These positions are not only a great way to earn money, but they provide valuable work experience in academic, administrative and student service departments.

Confirm Tuition Fees Amount
Tuition and fees are charged based on your course enrolments, and your winter term fees can be viewed on your MyServiceHub student account starting in December. As fees are based on your enrolments, the fees balance posted on your MyServiceHub account may not reflect the correct amount until you have completed your course enrolments. Pay Tuition Fees
Visit How to Pay Your Fees for information on how to pay your tuition fees through online banking. The tuition fee due date will be announced shortly.
Access Your TMU Student Account and Email at my.torontomu.ca
At the end of November, you will be granted full access to your TMU student account, allowing you to access all current student academic and financial features on MyServiceHub, as well as the full suite of Google Apps.
In late November to early December, you will automatically be prompted to create a TMU username and set-up your TMU email address when you log into my.torontomu.ca. Once your email has been set up, all official university communications will be sent there. Remember to check it frequently!
Get Your OneCard
Your Student OneCard is one of the most important tools you’ll need while at TMU. Not only is it your official student identification, it also grants you access to campus services, buildings and discounts. You can also use it as a payment card to purchase products and services.
All incoming students must apply for their free OneCard using the online OneCard application portal.
Get your GO Transit Discount Card
If you are a full-time student, you are eligible for GO Transit Student ID Cards, which can get you a discounted rate on GO Transit using your PRESTO Card.
Access Your Health and Dental Plans
TMU students are automatically covered for extended health and dental insurance coverage.
- International students are required to be enrolled in the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP), which provides medical coverage comparable to OHIP for Ontario residents. Contact: International Student Support
