Faculty of Community Services Orientation 2023

Welcome to the Faculty of Community Services!
We are thrilled to welcome new students to our schools and the Faculty of Community Services (FCS) this fall.
To get ready for your first year, we encourage you to:
- Participate in pre-orientation and orientation! First, attend academic sessions hosted by your school (see below). Then, check out FCSS Frosh Week (external link) and #RoadtoTMU Orientation Week.
- Have a look at the Information for New Students page. It is full of useful information on your next steps as a new student at TMU.
- Check out the Navigate TMU Program, developed to support students feel more confident in their first year and more knowledgeable of the skills and resources needed to navigate university.
School Orientation Sessions

In your school orientation session you will be able to meet key contacts like your academic advisor and instructors, learn about your curriculum, and meet other students. All incoming students are strongly encouraged to attend.
Faculty of Community Services Society Frosh
The Faculty of Community Services Society (FCSS) (external link) is your elected student society for undergraduate students at FCS.
FCSS will be hosting a series of frosh events, including lively activities, competitions, and social opportunities. These events will bring together students from across all our nine schools. Join FCSS for a great opportunity to meet new friends and network with students across FCS!

FCS Fest
All new undergraduate and graduate students are invited to FCS Fest, happening as part of FCSS Frosh. The Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex will be transformed into an indoor carnival where you will find games and activities, food and snacks, and live music. This is a free event.
University-wide Orientation

The university-wide #RoadtoTMU Orientation Week is taking place from Aug. 27 - Sept. 4. #RoadtoTMU will feature social activities, engaging performances, concerts and giveaways!
