Welcome to the Faculty of Community Services!
We are thrilled to welcome new students to our programs and the Faculty of Community Services (FCS) this fall. Although this year has presented many challenges, there is so much excitement and energy as we prepare for you to join us for a memorable orientation and impactful academic year.

As a student in FCS, you are part of a vibrant and dynamic community of nine outstanding schools with 7,000+ undergraduate students and 450+ graduate students. Our faculty is dedicated to collaborating with communities to enable meaningful social change: a commitment that uniquely positions you to have an impact on campus, in our city and beyond.

Starting at 1 p.m. each weekday from Monday, August 23 to Friday, September 3, we have exciting, engaging, and informative sessions that you can attend online at FCS Frosh Connect.
FCS Frosh Connect is a digital space for you to engage with the FCS community, learn tips and tricks on succeeding in university, and ask and learn everything you need to know for a successful year ahead.
Access details to enter FCS Frosh Connect, including Zoom links and passwords, will be sent to all registrants closer to the start of orientation.
FCS Frosh Connect is open to new undergraduate students in FCS.

Program Orientation Sessions
In your program orientation session you will be able to meet key contacts in your program like your academic advisor and instructors, learn about your curriculum, and meet other students in your program. All incoming students are strongly encouraged to attend.
You will receive more information related to your program orientation session from your school.
Note: students are expected to attend both sessions.
The urban and regional planning program orientation session took place in early August.
Faculty of Community Services Society Frosh
The Faculty of Community Services Society (FCSS), external link is a student society for undergraduate students at FCS that aims to support and enhance student experience.
FCSS will be hosting their own series of online and in-person frosh events from Aug. 25 to Sept. 3., including lively activities, competitions, and social opportunities. Meet new friends in your program and network with students across FCS!
FCSS events are open to first- and second-year undergraduate students in FCS.
University-wide Orientation
The university-wide #RoadtoRU Orientation Week, external link is taking place from Aug. 23 - Sept. 6. #RoadtoRU will feature over 200 in-person and online events, including engaging performances, concerts and giveaways.
#RoadtoRU events are open to first- and second-year students from across Ryerson.

We've created custom Instagram stickers to help you kick off the school year. Here's how to use them:
- On Instagram, take a selfie or video (through your story)
- In the top menu, click on the stickers icon (square smiley face)
- Search for "@ryersonfcs" or "ryerson" + "[your school name]" and select the sticker you want to use
