The Palin Foundation & The Toronto Metropolitan University Student Centre

In 1976, the Palin Foundation was incorporated with a mission to create a space on campus for students that is fully student governed. This has led to the development of the current Toronto Metropolitan University Student Centre (TMUSC). 

The TMUSC is home to student unions, affiliated campus groups, The Eyeopener newspaper, Met Radio, the Good Food Centre, Office of the Ombudsperson, Oakham Café, The Met Campus Pub and a host of rentable venue spaces.

Oakham Cafe (external link) 

Oakham Cafe is a trendy space for TMU students and community members to enjoy fairly priced food and coffee.

The Met Campus Pub (external link) 

The Met Campus Pub offers affordable food and drinks for students and hosts a range of events, from trivia nights and small social gatherings to large pub night parties.

Good Food Centre (GFC) (external link) 

If you are facing food insecurity, you can register as a member with the Good Food Centre and earn “points” to spend on food and supplies. There are drop in hours during the summer for everyone.  Harvests from TMSU’s rooftop garden are also used to supply the Good Food Centre. The GFC is open all year round and is also available for public access in the summer.

Equity Service Centres (external link) 

The Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union (TMSU) Equity Service Centres provide drop-in spaces for students, community-building events, and help create safer campus spaces through advocacy. Groups include BIPOC Students' Collective, Student Access Collective, The Queer Space, Trans Collective, SHIFT, and Centre for Women and Trans People (CWTP).
