There are over 1900 known edible species of insects, and C-fu FOODS is able to work with the majority them.

The Food Innovation Hub (FIH) was inspired by students attending the APE International Design Thinking Bootcamp. It is a collaboration between REI, the Science Discovery Zone (SDZ), Future Food Institute (FFI), University of Bologna and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The goal is to be a lightning rod for food-related innovations in Toronto and leverage the strengths of Ryerson’s Food Discovery Laboratory, School of Nutrition, Nutrition and Food Degree Program, Food Communication and Nutrition Program, Centre for Studies in Food Security, Ryerson Eats and Ryerson Urban Farm.

Green Iglu is a tool being used by remote and Indigenous communities to tackle the issue of food security and improve community wellness.

Sacraspice provides intergenerational, culturally-diverse cooking workshops that teach youth how to cook their favourite meals from scratch. We believe that it takes a community to raise a child, and we collaborate with both parents and seniors in the community to instil the passing down of food skills from generation to generation and keep ancestral connections alive.
