About our visiting scientist
Michael Alabi is a Visiting Research Scientist, involved in IITM research projects on blockchain and data analytics applications in manufacturing and supply chain management. Michael obtained his PhD and M.Eng. from the Faculty of Engineering, North-West University, South Africa; and Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. His research interests include Industry 4.0, Disruptive Technologies, Additive Manufacturing and Societal Impact of Digital Technologies. Prior to joining IITM Michael was a South Africa National Research Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Postgraduate School of Engineering Management, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Michael spent September 2019, in Germany on a DAAD Visiting Fellowship for Industry 4.0: Future of German Manufacturing.
