Renowned Toronto Chef Tommy McHugh is ready to serve up knowledge – and some great food – for Hospitality & Tourism Management students at the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM).

The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management takes sustainability and it's impact on the tourism industry seriously. 

Over the past year, the TRSM Catering department has been making significant changes to the way we operate. These changes include what food we order, where it's from, it's carbon footprint, its seasonality, and the support it offers our Ontario, and Canadian farmers, growers, producers and suppliers.

Even with a pandemic, we are still striving ahead with the changes we are passionate about. Recently the TRSHTM Catering (external link, opens in new window)  department was recognized for it's commitment to these changes, and was rewarded with the coveted "Feast On (external link, opens in new window) " certificate, from the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance (external link) .

We are proud that our dedication to making the right choices was recognized, and rewarded. Being "Feast On Certified" isn't just limited to the Catering department on it's own. This certification applies to all of the outlets we work with, including "Ted's Kitchen", and our HTF506 Food and Beverage Operations course where we run "RU Dining" (Now The Met Dining Room). This also applies to our future projects that we are excited to announce. 

"Ted's Mobile", will be a mobile catering unit, that will carry our hot/cold, delicious food to wherever you are in the TRS building. Simply open our app, and tell us what you want, where you want it, and at what time, and Ted's Kitchen will come to you! This is the perfect way to get all the delicious food from "Ted's Kitchen", without having to wait in line.

We are also very excited to announce the soon to be released "Professional Culinary Series" (PCS). This detailed and highly professional cooking series is hosted by our very own executive Chef, Tommy McHugh. In this series, Chef McHugh takes over 20 years experience in some of the world's best kitchens, and passes this knowledge forward to you! This series is also "Feast On Certified'', only pushing forward our dedication to sustainability. Chef McHugh will be continually adding content to this soon to be launched webpage, so the education and entertainment never ends.
