Message from the Dean
Welcome to a new academic year at the Faculty of Science! I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as interim dean of the Faculty during Dean Cramb’s post-administrative leave until the end of the year. For those of you who may not know me yet, I have been a faculty member at TMU since 2003 and am currently an associate professor in and former Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biology.
I am honoured to have been entrusted with this responsibility and wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to the university administration, my esteemed colleagues, and the Faculty of Science for their unwavering support. It is a privilege to serve in this capacity and I am proud to be a part of a team that places such a strong emphasis on academic excellence, research innovation, and the holistic development of our students.
During my tenure as interim dean, I am committed to upholding the standards of excellence that the Faculty of Science is renowned for. Whether this is the start of your journey at TMU or whether you have been part of our community for many years, let us continue to build upon the spirit of discovery and collaboration that is foundational to our DNA.
Sincerely,
Andrew McWilliams
Interim Dean, Faculty of Science
