Message from the Dean

Happy New Year to everyone! And welcome back! I hope the winter break gave you some degree of revived energy and good health.

2022 will prove to be a big year for the Faculty of Science. It’s our 10th anniversary and we’ve planned special activities throughout the year to celebrate this exciting milestone. Our new, upcoming FoS10 webpage will have all the details. Watch out for it coming soon.

I am confident that 2022 WILL be the year we get to see each other in person again. We have missed our colleagues, staff and students. Keep up your excellent work in the meantime and look ahead to our reunion back on campus. We’re almost there!

Dean of Faculty of Science, Dr. David Cramb

We’re also scheduled to break ground for the Science Discovery Complex this year. This will be a major step ahead for science at Toronto Metropolitan, and will propel us forward as we build and enact a strategic plan for the next ten years.

Reflecting back on how far we’ve already come as a community, I enter 2022 with feelings of pride and hope. I am truly inspired by how we managed the shifting sands of the pandemic and learned much about each other and those we serve. Our caliber as a community makes me very optimistic that our future is brighter than ever. Thank you all for your hard work, and see you soon!

Sincerely,

David Cramb
Dean, Faculty of Science
