TMU signs affiliation agreement with NOSM University

On Jan 22, the School of Medicine celebrated a new affiliation agreement with Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) University (external link) . NOSM University is Canada’s first independent medical university. The agreement, signed by TMU’s president, Dr. Mohamed Lachemi and Dr. Sarita Verma, NOSM’s president and vice-chancellor, will aim to build a collaborative and reciprocal relationship that leverages the expertise of both organizations, to establish a framework that supports a forward-thinking approach to medical education. 

The school looks forward to working collaboratively with Dr. Sarita Verma, and her team as it works toward welcoming its first cohorts of medical learners in 2025.
