Kwasi Nkansah

Born in Ghana, and raised in Brampton, Kwasi was first exposed to medicine in grade 11 with a co-op placement in a specialist high-skills major program offered by his high school. Kwasi completed his BSc at McMaster researching the influence that high altitude has on mammalian physiology. He developed an interest in space medicine, completing his Masters of Space Studies at the International Space University. This led to an internship at the European Astronaut Center where he focused on cardiovascular deconditioning in spaceflight. Currently, Kwasi is pursuing Medical Studies at the University of Toronto researching preflight medicine and medical devices for remote environments.
