Center for Food Innovation and Nutritional Discovery (CFIND)

Starting in 2018, Dr. Dérick Rousseau and Dr. Nick Bellissimo of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Nutrition Discovery Labs (external link)  are joining forces.

Together, we’re building a research hub to foster innovation within the complementary fields of food science and nutrition.

We’re currently known as Food Innovation and Nutritional Discovery at Ryerson (FIND-R). Over the next few years, we’ll be moving forward to become the official Center for Food Innovation and Nutritional Discovery.

Why CFIND?

The Center is a collective that brings together expertise across a variety of disciplines and institutions. Currently, our partners include George Brown College, University of Guelph, University of Toronto, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.  Together, we have the capability to conduct both research and clinical trials using world-caliber research tools.

Contract Services

We also collaborate with industrial partners who are seeking high-level research in food structure and nutrition.

The result: tailored outcomes with real-world, commercial applications in food and soft materials. For more information on contract services offered.

$5.2 million in funding and in-kind contributions to build the Centre,
