Our office provides advice to Toronto Metropolitan University on legislative compliance. We provide guidance and develop programs to help the University manage risks and make informed decisions associated with records, systems, and applications that are affected by these statutes.
We also assist owners of University Administrative Policies to ensure policies and procedures support compliance with these statutes.
In January, 2017, Ontario universities became subject to the Ombudsman Act, external link. This means that complaints about Toronto Metropolitan University can now be investigated by the Ontario Ombudsman. However, the Ontario Ombudsman is an office of last resort. It will only investigate a complaint after the complainant has exhausted all other compliant resolution options available at the university.
Please contact our office if you are unsure what complaint resolution options are available to you.
