Jeff Biederman is an award-winning screenwriter and showrunner with over 20 years of experience creating television comedy. He has written more than 250 episodes for major networks, including Disney, Netflix, CBC, CTV, and Rogers. His work on the beloved series Life With Derek earned him the Writers Guild of Canada Award for Best Youth Writing.Jeff has also served as showrunner on Second Jen (Citytv) and Spun Out (CTV), which received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Comedy Series. His latest project, Estate of Mind, is currently in production for Bell Fibe TV1.

In addition to his industry work, Jeff is a dedicated educator and mentor. He has taught at Seneca Polytechnic and Toronto Metropolitan University’s RTA School of Media, developed courses for Seneca and Toronto Film School, and served as Writer-in-Residence at the Toronto Public Library, where he led workshops and one-on-one consultations for emerging writers.
