Notice, Engage, Refer + Debrief (NER+D) Training
NER+D is a foundational training designed to build capacity and confidence among students, staff, and faculty to support mental health and wellbeing at TMU. Through this interactive session, participants will learn how to:
- Notice signs of distress in others
- Engage in supportive and non-judgmental conversations
- Refer individuals to appropriate campus supports and resources
- Debrief and care for their own wellbeing after offering support
NER+D promotes a caring campus culture by helping participants develop practical skills and mental health literacy to navigate challenging conversations with compassion and clarity.
