This is a Category 3 Minor Modification.
1. Consult with Registrar's Office (RO) Departments.
- Contact the Assistant Director, Curriculum Management and Academic Engagement (opens in new window) , and the Director of Admissions and National Recruitment (opens in new window) .
- The RO can provide valuable guidance on the operational impacts of your plans.
2. Fill out (google form) Curriculum Modification Proposal - Template Request Form for Undergraduate Programs (external link) .
- The form will assist in determining the category (level) of the curriculum change.
- You will receive a template document for a Category 3 minor modification proposal. The template will be tailored to your specific modification. It will not include any redundancies and unnecessary sections for your specific request.
3. Fill out the (google doc) Curriculum Implementation Summary and Checklist (external link, opens in new window) .
- This will aid in ensuring that all aspects of the implementation are considered.
4. Submit a proposal to the Academic Standards Committee (ASC).
- Contact the Office of the Vice-Provost, Academic, at ovpa.curriculum@torontomu.ca.
- The proposal should contain the following information, as appropriate:
- The existing and the proposed curriculum modification, showing the revisions
- The rationale for the curriculum modification, including information on comparator programs (where relevant)
- Changes to prerequisites, if relevant
- Program learning outcomes
- Consideration of how an EDI/anti-racism lens has been applied to the proposed curriculum modification
- The effect of the proposed curriculum modification on the program learning outcomes, student experience, enrolment targets, retention, and academic standing
- The implementation date and implementation plan, and provisions for retroactivity

5. Submit revised calendar copy.

- Upload your revised calendar copy to your program-specific folder on the shared Google Drive for program submissions.
- We will email instructions for accessing the shared Google Drive each calendar cycle.
