​Internship Coordinator Joan Shaw's role is to assist students in managing their Interior Design internship experience over the four years of their BID degree. Being an SID 2009 grad herself, Joan is wholeheartedly dedicated student success during their process of gaining a student design internship. With a previous degree in Commerce and work experience in the hospitality management field, both have contributed to Joan's success in navigating the complexities of the student internship experience. Our students are exposed to working in Interior Design and related fields on a global scale. The hands-on experience of work, designing and sourcing products, materials & finishes, technical drawings and specifications and interacting with clients and industry professionals all contribute to the enrichment of the academic experience throughout their SID education.
