Work intensification of labour has cost the industry and service abundantly. This tendency has unintended side effects such as musculoskeletal disorders as the cause of residual fatigue. Residual fatigue is the result of work duration and work amplitude phenomena. By utilizing and configuring muscular fatigue models, this relationship and consequences can be mapped and also relevant threshold model would be identified.

Work intensification in health care systems has caused issues like error of omission and unjustified delays. By utilizing the new simulation method: Agent-based Modelling; realistic system based on interaction of agents (e.g., nurses and patients) can be realized.
