Resilience refers to our ability to tap our inner resources and bounce back after adversity.  Resilience also helps us to move forward differently after we overcome challenges. Learn how mindfulness, gratitude, optimism, self-compassion and perseverance interact and combine like pieces of a puzzle to build resilience. 

Presented by Dr. Diana Brecher.

Dr. Brecher is a clinical psychologist who has been working in the TMU Centre for Student Development and Counselling since 1991.  Her long-standing interest and certificate in Positive Psychology led to a shift in her role in 2016, whereby she started the Thrive initiative and co-founded the Thriving in Action program. She is adjunct faculty in the Psychology dept. and in the MBA program.
