 Event description

The Clean Energy Zone's Sustainability Design Challenge is back! And this year it is taking place online.

For the second year in a row, we're calling on Ryerson students with ideas that target barriers to renewable energy to enter into our contest and help innovate sustainable solutions.

This contest is a great opportunity to meet new people and network, learn new skills through workshops from our mentors, and creatively solve real world problems.

 The challenge

We want you to identify, create and deliver projects that teach and empower others to implement economically viable solutions to relevant sustainability issues in cities and communities. Here's what you need to know:

  • The challenge is open to all Ryerson students from any program.
  • The registration deadline is June 9 at 10:00 a.m. ET.
  • Students can register as a team with a minimum of three and a maximum of five members, or as an individual to be placed in a team. All participants must register using their Ryerson email address.
  • The event will take place online. Details on how to connect will be emailed to all registered participants at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Details of the challenge, the technologies and the application areas will be provided on the day of the challenge.
