Publication Series

The Toronto Metropolitan Centre for Immigration and Settlement (TMCIS) runs three publication series in collaboration with the CERC in Migration and Integration at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Working Papers present scholarly research of all disciplines on issues related to immigration and settlement. The purpose is to stimulate discussion and collect feedback.

DemiKnow is an international collaboration among four migration research centres: ECU TRACS Migration Research Network, Edith Cowan University, Australia; Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Migration & Integration, Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada; National Research Centre for Resettlement, Hohai University, China; International Institute of Migration and Development, Kannur University, India. DemiKnow also produces a Working Paper series. 

 

Research Briefs include short commentaries of 1,000 to 2,500 words on pertinent and/or contemporary issues related to immigration and settlement.

TMCIS occupies space in the traditional and unceded territory of nations including the Anishnaabeg, the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples, and territory which is also now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. This territory is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, as well as the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas.
