From time to time, departments may require employees on a short-term, temporary basis of up to a maximum of six months to assist with project work, an increased volume of work or to cover a vacation period or leave of absence.

Short-term temporary opportunities range from administrative support, technical support, student affairs to university business services roles.

When these opportunities arise, the need is often immediate or within a short period of time. As a result, they are not posted on the career site.

Submit your resume to be considered for any short-term temporary opportunity that may arise. Resumes are reviewed on a regular basis by the Human Resources and Employment Equity Coordinator.

You may be contacted to confirm your availability for short-term opportunities or to provide additional information about  your qualifications and experience.

Candidates will only be contacted within six months of their resume submission.

  • There is no impact to other job applications and you can apply for any opportunities at Ryerson that are of interest.
  • If you are interested in full-time or term opportunities greater than six months, please visit staff opportunities for the roles that are currently available.
